Masked!

'These cars are badly parked. You won't be able to take out your car. Let me help you with it.'
'No, Thank you. I will do it myself.'

This first encounter with the man who stayed downstairs, just two floors below, in her apartment complex still haunts Ayesha.

The next day he was there again. Due to paucity of space, she had to park her car behind His Scorpio. Yes, he was a typical Jaat, possibly from Haryana, tall with heavy build.
A call had woken her up in the morning. The society Guard had asked her to come to the parking to remove the car. Still in the morning dizzy, she had run downstairs. This guy asked her innocently to take her car out to the metro for some urgent pick up job for some kin. Considering the neighbourhood policy, she after having politely refused once, allowed him on Guard's assurance.

After few days, in the morning she found the front tyre of her car punctured. She called a friend to help with it.
To her utter surprise, He was there again, besides his car and offered her help. She took no time to understand the intentions and denied.
Due to his repeated rants that 'Aap nahi kar paoge thik', when she had begun to feel the agony of being the lesser sex, her friend came to her rescue and craftly thanked Him and asserted that he could do it. With some logistical support from Him, her friend was able to change the tyres. Even when he was done with the job, He kept saying 'aise car mat le k jao, hawa kamm hai, tyre khrab ho jaega'.

It's the Janamashtami night. Society kids are performing well-choreographed dances and are singing songs in praise of Lord Krishna. Incidentally, she doesn't believe in mythological beings but Krishna is her favourite. She takes part in quiz on Krishna's life. Unknowingly, she turns right to find Him staring at her. Fortunately, this time, her roommates also catch Him. She had earlier been telling the girls of this guy, but they never knew who he actually was.

In the parking, again she is taking out the car parked behind His'. She had earlier told Guard to let her Park somewhere else as she wasn't well and could not come again for settling the car. To her surprise, hidden behind His car, he displayed extra concern saying 'My wife is a nurse, you can come to our home for any help, at any point of day, Even in the night!'

Parking the car, she ran upstairs and told her roommates about what had transpired.

She sees him taking his wife out in car. She is expecting. She hopes good for Her. His Scorpio is not seen again.
After around three months, one day while returning from office in the evening, she spots the Same in the parking.

The next day one of the roomies told her that He had returned. He's got a baby boy and he is on the terrace with his wife and baby. Before she could feel anything, her roomie added, ' bdw, he is pretty much the same, me and one of my friends were playing carrom, and he despite his wife and kid being there, was staring at my friend'

She could just exclaim 'How does she survive with him?'
To this the roomie replied, 'karna padta hai! Ab to baby bhi ho gea hai!'

She does wonder who wears the bigger Mask here.
One who masks his profanity under the veil of innocence in front of his family or the One who knows who she is married to and still regresses in the 'Husband as Lord' theory!

B-ill as A Single

'Oh! That hurt me, you Moron!' He said in a fit of rage and smacked him on the face. How was Shinnok, the evil, to stay behind! He also delivered a powerful blow. The next moment, they were in a fierce fight, with Raiden sending the Bolts of Lightning over Shinnok who used his amulet to create a protective shield and then, summoned a fiend to grab and throw away Raiden. The God of Thunder, Raiden effectively utilised his Teleporting skills and all of a sudden, both stop combating in the arena of Mortal Kombat and start looking at each other in bewilderment. A certain sound had started growing louder.

He had to get up to open the gates for his maid. All the scenes in his head evaporated as he set off with his morning ablutions. Got his lunch packed and set off for office.

That was like four days from today.

Today, He acknowledged no knocks. He had no scenes in his mind when he got up, only mild vertigo and dizziness. He recollected that this was another thursday and he had been ILL for some five days now. He had been suffering from acute nasal congestion and infection spreading in his forehead and sinus, resulting in raised mercury levels daily.

His body had refused to get up to reach the bathroom. Somehow, as he created another patch of mess on the handkerchief which had been soiled for so many days, the dried patches of older mess forming a surface for receiving another dose, he realised he hadn't been washed for six days now.As he lifted his arm to get the thermometer placed cleverly with medicines, thermos flask and hot water bottle amid other useful things, he felt the muddle he had been in, the whole night. The nasal drops that he had put in last night and had forgotten to put the cap on, had been all spilled on his bed. He lowered his quilt, peeked his head up and found the whole room in a mess, with clothes and the towel set out for drying on the chair, medicines, bottles, cup of boiled-then-cold-now milk, clock, opened bread pack, bournvita, sauce as though a whole kitchen had grown onto his table.

Irritated and frustrated at this dingy room,he got up and reached the kitchen. Maid had not come today and all the utensils were in the sink. Some of the utensils had been placed on the floor with all the fruit and vegetable peelings and leftovers. He could not see a single utensil for warming water for drinking.

He could not think of anything else except Crying.

Today was the day, he remembered his mother the most.

He wished to quit his job, his high paying job that he had worked so hard for, toiled laboriously on long chilly winter nights to clear all his programming concepts for cracking the interviews.

But soon, reason prevailed. He gathered all the strength that was left in him, grabbed the scotch brite and started washing the utensils. Finally, he warmed the water and then had food and medicines. He even cleaned his room before falling on the bed again.

Being Ill as a single person is hard. Please Respect that!  :p

And, yes this post doesn't have any Bill! The only Bill I see is of medicines, that also escalating with prolonged illness. :p
