Equilibrium - The game of Gain and Loss

As a kid, I used to wonder how does equilibrium come into place. I had read and memorized a definition in chemistry class. Check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equilibrium to find the various types of balance in various branches of study.

B.A.L.A.N.C.E
how simple to understand. It is one of those basic words we get to know when we start to understand the world with our senses. Why does a frog eat a mosquito?.. Why do we eat plants and animals?.. to maintain balance. I extrapolate it.. Why do we die? to maintain balance.. ....................digression!
Why is it necessary to maintain balance? what would happen otherwise?

I talk here about Equilibrium of personalities. How do people balance each other? what happens when people cant balance and lead to disequilibrium? I have learnt that a hot body loses heat to a cooler body to come into a state of equilibrium and that cooler body gains heat to reach the same state. How does it account in case of individuals? A person with a higher temperament should lose something and the cooler person should gain something the furious one loses, to maintain balance. But I have always found that the cooler person loses self respect and ego to gain equilibrium point. The wiser gene in me , once commented you gained wisdom and the capacity to mollify, placate, assuage.. Didn't you?

  1. Nice ending!
    Adding a bit:
Balance extends over the horizons of human faculty.
The understanding starts from duality as written here, however, ends into an individuals journey through life. One could alone experience the equilibrium.
